Tomokazu is favoured by celebrities, with very good food and high prices to match — yet the decor is insipid to say the least. Still, excellent service makes up for this, and the privacy of the VIP rooms makes for a good evening of excellent food, sake and company. The menu is quite diverse — go for the sushi platter which includes tuna brisket and octopus; while for the hungry, the Japanese hotpot is a hearty option. More exquisite though is raw abalone or lobster sashimi served on beds of ice. Nothing is wasted in the latter, as the rest of the lobster is thrown into broth for lobster congee.
